1. Our vapor barrier is 10mm thick vs. traditional builder grade of 6mm.
2. We have taken additional steps to protect the outside of the exterior beams by extending the vapor barrier all the way to the top and over the lumber forms.

The challenge has been set to 8 months from today, 4/10/25. Typically 8 months would not be a challenge but, for perspective, the footprint of this house is over 8000sqf. Every inch of it custom designed.

Have you even heard of it? What is it? How does it help? What's is the process of attaining certication? Who does it in town? I can help if you have questions.

There are a lot of details that go into attaining the certification but you will end up with a roof, in my opinion, twice as strong as a traditional roof.

My boy Hector Ron was on this project. Definitely a learning curve with all the process for both of us but we got it down with flying colors.

Excited to show you what we look like with only 44 days till our deadline of August 13th.

Floors start tomorrow on the first floor, 2nd floor has been completed. Paint will be 100% done today.

Carpentry started last week, after that is completed we are down to painting the trim, installing counters, tiling baths and all the trims.

Pushing the schedule, level 5 stole 3 weeks from our achedule!

5. Prepare for flush trim in common areas

When quality is your primary focus, having the proper tools pave the way to getting it right. .

The ziplevel altimeter is a great tool that helps determine elevations. There are many ways to use it, today it is helping us prepare for floor installation.

We set up a benchmark on the front door, then measure elevations of the finish floor every 8 feet. Foundations are never 100% level, but now we can use data to ensure Kalebs floors are flawless.
